Privacy Policy
The Short Version
ZeroTool tools run entirely in your browser. We do not collect, store, or transmit any data you enter into our tools. Your data stays on your device.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect:
- Any input you provide to our tools (JSON, text, files, keys, passwords, etc.)
- Personal identification information
- Email addresses or account credentials (we have no accounts)
- Payment information
- Device identifiers tied to individuals
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregate usage patterns — which tools are most popular, which pages are visited, and general geographic distribution. GA4 is configured with IP anonymization enabled, meaning the last octet of your IP address is masked before storage.
GA4 sets session cookies for the duration of your visit. These are standard analytics cookies and do not identify you personally. You can opt out of GA4 tracking by using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Cookies
ZeroTool uses one first-party cookie equivalent: your theme preference (light, dark, or
system) is stored in localStorage so it persists between visits. This is a
functional preference and contains no personal information. No third-party advertising
cookies are set.
Tool Data
All computation performed by ZeroTool tools happens in your browser using JavaScript. Input data (strings, JSON, files) is processed locally and is never transmitted to our servers. We have no technical capability to access the data you process in our tools.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google Analytics 4 — anonymized usage analytics (described above)
- Cloudflare Pages — hosting and CDN; Cloudflare may log request metadata per their own privacy policy
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of ZeroTool after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
